Conversion Potential-In MJM Offshore's assessment, this vessel presents an outstanding opportunity for conversion into a modern Diving Support Vessel (DSV). Its DP3 capability, large clear working deck, 105-person accommodation, heavy-lift active heave compensated cranes, ROV support facilities and offshore construction pedigree provide an excellent platform for the installation of a modular saturation diving system, LARS, dive control and associated life-support equipment. Such a conversion could be completed significantly faster and at considerably lower capital cost than commissioning a new-build DSV, while responding to the increasing worldwide demand for high-specification diving support vessels.
